ASX Announcement, 6 September - Material Transfer Agreement signed with Kumamoto University
Medical Therapies Limited (ASX:MTY) today signed a Material Transfer Agreement (Agreement) with Kumamoto University. Pursuant to the Agreement MTY will supply it proprietary IP14 antibodies to Kumamoto University in return for first right to review and commercialise any new data and invention by the midkine research team. The rights acquired by MTY include patenting rights of any invention at the Company's option.

Removal of $1.5M potential liability
Medical Therapies Limited and Cell Signals Inc., have signed an amendment to the Intellectual Property Agreement which replaces a cash payment of $1.5M with the issuing of 15 million MTY shares to Cell Signals, subject to shareholders’ approval.

Appointment of Director
The Board of Medical Therapies Limited (ASX: MTY) today appointed Mr Koichiro Koike as Non-executive Director.
Mr Koike is a senior executive with extensive global life science and technology business development experience. He is currently based in Tokyo after living in Melbourne for 15 years.
He is co-principal of V2V, a corporate advisory firm specializing in cross border life sciences transactions between Australian and Japanese companies.

26th August 2008, Sydney, Australia: Medical Therapies received notification that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the Company’s patent application titled “Agents Comprising Midkine or an Inhibitor Thereof as Active Ingredient”. The Company has now been formally issued with the patent which has been allocated the number 7,390,491.
