The Third Midkine Symposium was held in Kyoto, Japan between 21st and 23rd of April 2014. The objective of the conference was to engender closer collaborations between midkine scientists and to help accelerate scientific discoveries about midkine into the clinic.

The Third Midkine Symposium was the largest yet and built on the success of the first two Midkine Symposia held in Sydney, Australia (2010) and Istanbul, Turkey (2012). The meeting attracted key academic and industry leaders from eleven countries around the world to present new data in a variety of fields, with a special focus on midkine in a cancer setting. It was fittingly hosted in the birthplace of midkine (Japan) by its discoverers, Emeritus Professor Takashi Muramatsu and Professor Kenji Kadomatsu.

It is expected that the Fourth Midkine Symposium will be held in Budapest, Hungary, in 2016. Please send your expression of interest to if you wish to attend this invitation only event.
