Marton graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He was an Executive Committee Member responsible for international affairs of the National Union of Students in Hungary. Later he was working as a professional expert and manager in the field of IT. Recently he was Head of the Department of Asset Supervision of Higher Education in the Ministry for National Development. He has been Director-General of IFAT as of 1 December 2014. He speaks English, German and Italian.
